Reflection on my learning

In this master’s programme, we’ve been introduced to a wide range of emerging disruptive technologies, each offering new perspectives on how innovation is reshaping the world around us. I appreciated the opportunity to take a deeper dive into one of these technologies through the explainer assignment. Before this, my understanding of blockchain was limited and largely centred around its association with cryptocurrencies. This assignment gave me the chance to explore its broader applications, and I have developed genuine interest in further exploring this topic.
The process of researching and preparing the explainer helped sharpen both my analytical and critical thinking skills. While engaging with numerous information sources, I was often challenged to determine which sources were credible and worth deeper exploration. It took time and a few missteps, but I eventually developed a clearer strategy for filtering and organising information.
One of the key things I’ve learned during this period is the importance of having an efficient, personalised system for managing learning. Initially, I struggled to find a method that worked for me, especially when preparing for weekly lectures, taking notes, and compiling research.
Over time, I found my rhythm and adopted a style that allows me to capture key concepts while staying organised and focused.
